Amare Solomon

Founder & CEO

Amare Solomon is the Founder and CEO of Safeway Home Healthcare, a successful home care organization that provides exceptional care to their clients. With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Amare started as a Medical Technologist before founding Safeway Home Healthcare. Under Amare’s leadership, the organization has flourished, expanding its services, forming strategic partnerships, and investing in innovative solutions and a team of compassionate caregivers.

Amare places great emphasis on the recruitment and retention of highly qualified and caring professionals who share his vision of enriching lives through personalized home care services. As the Founder and CEO, Amare prioritizes the delivery of exceptional client care and has implemented a strategic approach to business development. His leadership strengths include strategic thinking, team building, and an unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission. Safeway Home Healthcare is in an expansion and growth phase, and Amare is looking towards the future, seeking new opportunities to enhance and improve the organization’s services. Bereket Getachew

COO (Chief Operating Officer)

Bereket Getachew (MBA) serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Healthcare from Concordia University, Saint Paul, in 2023 and has worked in the healthcare field for over a decade. Bereket’s extensive experience in the healthcare industry includes years of leadership roles in a hospital diagnostic laboratory.

He has served as a technical lead, technical specialist, and supervisor and quickly established himself as a leader in the lab. Bereket’s leadership qualities were evident from his willingness to learn, take responsibility, help others, and value patient care. These qualities have continued to guide his work throughout his career.

As the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Bereket focuses on organizational planning and setting direction for his team. He values established routines and procedures and believes there is always more work to be done. As a back-office expert, he provides a stabilizing presence in the organization and is committed to fulfilling his roles and responsibilities to the best of his ability.

At the center of Bereket’s work is a deep commitment to patient care. He believes that ensuring patients receive the best possible care is crucial to the success of any healthcare organization. He strives to create a culture of excellence and compassion in his team. Others see Bereket as pragmatic, dependable, and able to get things done. He takes his commitments and obligations earnestly and continually seeks ways to improve his team’s performance.

Mohamed Ahmed

Program Director

Mohamed is passionate about fostering a sense of community in the work that he does. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Augsburg University, he joined Safeway Home Healthcare to further expand his skill set and work with a team of dedicated providers in the healthcare field.

Mohamed believes providing care for the loved ones of various families is not only fulfilling but also an opportunity to collaborate alongside other professionals who are seeking to make a difference in people’s lives.

As part of his role, Mohamed oversees the management of several services to ensure personalized home care services are met. Mohamed is deeply invested in providing clients with adequate care and looks forward to contributing to the growth of Safeway Home Healthcare home care services.

Mercy Kajop

HR Manager

Mercy is an innovative and accomplished Human Resources professional with over 5 years of experience in HR strategy and operations. She has been instrumental in redefining the human resources processes at Safeway Home Healthcare, making significant contributions to the growth and success of the team.

Holding an MBA and a strong advocate for continuous learning and development, Mercy has built a diverse skill set, including career consulting, HR management, performance management, employer branding, creative writing, recruitment, employee relations, and employee engagement. She has a proven track record in delivering exceptional results to clients internationally, working across various industries such as startups, consulting, tech, and non-profit organizations.

Mercy has designed and implemented effective employee onboarding programs, performance appraisal and management systems, engagement strategies, training initiatives, and end-to-end recruitment processes. Additionally, she has served as an external mediator consultant for employee relations and coached over 13 individuals on career change and advancement.

Recognized as a proactive go-getter and an idea powerhouse, Mercy’s strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills have allowed her to excel in her role as the HR Manager at Safeway Home Healthcare. Her expertise in developing and enhancing dynamic work culture ensures that the organization attracts and retains the best talent, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment for all team members.
